Research on the influence of financial characteristics of banks on the selection of audit firms of commercial banks operating in Vietnam

Abstract

Auditing plays an important role in providing information for banks, government agencies as well as the basis for investors making decisions. It has become a significant part in building the belief in enterprises and majors that develop in the Vietnam stock market. The selection of auditing firms relies on different factors and the competition of auditing market is the motivation for the research group. The author’s research is aim to investing the influence of financial features on the choice of auditing companies at banks. Through references of previous studies and data analysis of financial reports from banks in Vietnam by using quantitative method, the research refers to factors affect the decision of choosing auditing firms of enterprise: (1) Bank size, (2) Equity ratio, (3) Credit risk, (4) Liquidity, (5) Total property, (6) Return on equity, (7) Legal status, (8) Whether the bank is foreign bank, (9) Economics growth, (10) Inflation
