Abstract: | Playing a vital role of university students’ education, teamwork skills improve academic achievement and prepare students for the demands of the workplace. also, thanks to the digital transformation in every aspect of life, there has been an increasing trend among students to take advantage of hybrid working style in university projects. therefore, this research was carried out to assess the factors influencing team effectiveness among ho chi minh city’s students choosing to adapt to hybrid teamwork. this study's conclusions could facilitate the collaboration of students in hybrid teams. The research examined the direct effects of four key elements during teamwork process, including "common purpose", "specific goals", "conflict levels", and "team efficacy", as well as the moderating effect of self-determination on "team effectiveness" by using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. the online survey received 376 responses from students of 27 universities in Ho Chi Minh City. the collected data was then analyzed using smartpls software, and the results showed that all components taken into consideration, apart from specific goals as an independent variable and competence as a moderator, could positively affect the productivity of students’ hybrid teams in Ho Chi Minh City. based on the findings, the study therefore suggested a number of theoretical and practical implications |
