dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Today’s workplaces are more complex, uncertain, and fast-changing, making it harder to support employee well-being. Creating a healthy work environment is key to improving mental health and boosting organizational performance. This study explores how Psychosocial Safety Climate (PSC) influences employee mental health in modern organizations. Design/methodology: Using Conservation of Resources (COR) Theory and Organizational Support Theory (OST), this study looks at how PSC, safety behavior, organizational support, work engagement, and mental health are connected. It uses data from employees in different industries to analyze how PSC plays a key role in encouraging safety behavior and organizational support. Findings: The findings reveal that a high PSC fosters a culture of psychological safety, which enhances safety behavior, perceived organizational support, and work engagement. In turn, these factor significantly contribute to improved employee mental health. Moreover, the study highlights the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between PSC and mental health, offering critical insights into the mechanisms through which organizations can build supportive environments that prioritize well-being. Contributions: By integrating COR Theory and OST, this research provides actionable recommendations for organizations to design and implement strategies that cultivate a strong Psychosocial Safety Climate. These strategies not only enhance employee mental health and engagement but also align with broader organizational goals of sustainability and long-term success. The study contributes to the growing literature on workplace well-being and offers practical implications for building resilient, healthy, and thriving modern workplaces | en_US |
