| dc.description.abstract | Research purpose: This paper investigates the relationship between organizational structure and sustainable digital transformation within the context of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), focusing on how varying frameworks can profoundly influence the success and adaptability of digital initiatives. Research design, approach, and method: By utilizing a mixed-methods approach, this study incorporates qualitative data from in-depth interviews and case studies of diverse healthcare organizations currently engaged in digital transformation, along with quantitative metrics assessing the effectiveness of these initiatives. Main findings: The findings reveal that organizations with flexible, decentralized structures tend to experience higher rates of successful digital integration compared to those with rigid, hierarchical frameworks. Furthermore, case studies illustrate that adaptability in organizational structure not only enhances the implementation of digital technologies but also contributes to improved patient outcomes and operational efficiency in the healthcare sector. Practical/managerial implications: This research underscores the critical significance of aligning organizational design with digital transformation efforts, demonstrating how strategic structural choices can lead to sustained innovation and responsiveness in healthcare settings. The broader implications of this research advocate for healthcare administrators and policymakers to consider structural flexibility as a pivotal factor in fostering successful digital initiatives, ultimately enhancing the delivery of care and ensuring resilience in the face of ongoing technological advancements and healthcare challenges. | en_US |
