Abstract: | Few research has focused on how CMC competency affects the success of virtual teams through affecting conflict management among university students. This study fills the gap by examining the link between these variables using the IMO model. Three hundred and twentyfour university students participated in the study and completed an online survey. SmartPLS 3 would be used to analyze 315 replies. CMC skills, conflict management, trust, cohesion, team performance, and team satisfaction are all evaluated using structural equation modelling. Expressiveness and coordination, which account for two out of every four CMC skills, have a positive effect on conflict management. The efficacy of the virtual team improves as a result of this interpersonal process, which fosters trust and togetherness. Following the IMO model, undergraduate students' CMC abilities have an impact on the virtual team's effectiveness. Practical implications for stakeholders and contributions for future research are discussed. |
