Abstract: | With the topic “FOMO INFLUENCES THE YOUNG GENERATION’S TRAVELING BOOKING BEHAVIOR VIA ONLINE APPS”. This study aims to explore how FOMO impacts the travel booking decisions of young users through online apps. While existing research has investigated FOMO's influence in various domains, studies focusing on its effect within the travel industry remain limited, particularly in the context of online booking platforms. Building upon established theoretical frameworks such as the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and The Self-Determination Theory,.. this research integrates both primary data sources and findings from quantitative and qualitative analyses. The research subjects are young people aged 18-26 who have or are booking travel through online apps. The research method used to test the model is a mixed-method approach, including preliminary qualitative research and formal quantitative research. Qualitative research was conducted through In-depth interviews with 10 respondents. Quantitative research was conducted through personal interviews using an online questionnaire related to demographics and research models through Google Form with 400 respondents. The research results showed that Perceived Scarcity (PS) has the strongest influence on FOMO when booking travel via online apps |
