dc.description.abstract | The global supply chain is increasingly complex, and Vietnam’s diplomatic relations are evolving with countries worldwide. President Ho Chi Minh's principle of “Firm in objectives, flexible in strategies and tactics" is not only a guideline in the struggle for independence, but also has great value for the integration and sustainable development of the Vietnamese economy today. In the context of globalization, studying this diplomatic strategy helps Vietnam shape foreign economic policy effectively, balancing national interests with international commitments to seize opportunities and mitigate risks in an open economy. This research article examines the adaptability of President Ho Chi Minh’s diplomatic strategy “Firm in objectives, flexible in strategies and tactics” in the context of sustainable development in all aspects of our country. The qualitative research method collects and processes documents from different sources, and the quantitative research method collects primary data when applying foreign affairs in developing economic relations with other countries. The research is essential in orienting Vietnam's foreign economic policy in the context of deep integration. It highlights how this strategy supports Vietnam’s economic goals, ensures independence, and leverages free trade agreements while avoiding over-dependence. The principle of flexibility in President Ho Chi Minh’s diplomatic strategy and tactics aids Vietnam in adapting to global economic fluctuations, attracting sustainable FDI, and enhancing its international standing. Ultimately, his diplomatic ideology contributes to orienting sustainable economic development by balancing growth with environmental protection, socio-political stability, and a self-reliant economy. This study also underscores how Vietnam, through the skillful and adaptable application of diplomatic strategies, has yielded many economic benefits, strengthened the country’s import-export potential, and attracted FDI. This study holds both theoretical and practical significance, guiding Vietnam’s foreign and economic policies toward long-term sustainable development. | en_US |
