dc.description.abstract | This study aims to investigate the relationship between privacy concerns and user fatigue in the context of mobile Augmented Reality (AR) applications since user privacy has become a critical issue with the rapid advancement of AR technology. Grounded in a research model supported by the Theory of Planned Behavior and Privacy Calculus Theory, this study identified App Popularity, Perceived Control, App Permission Concerns, and other variables to analyze the relationship with User Fatigue. The data were collected from 406 respondents who are living and working in Ho Chi Minh City. The experimental results show significant relationships among the variables. App Popularity, Perceived Control, and App Permission Concerns were found as influential factors that affect Privacy Concerns, which were found to influence User Fatigue. Interestingly, App Permission Concerns influence User Fatigue indirectly through privacy concerns. The results of this study will underscore the crucial role of App Permission Concerns in shaping user fatigue patterns. Besides investigating user psychological behavior towards the use of AR technology, this study provides recommendations to AR application developers on improving user experience through secure and private measures. This study not only provides insights into user behavior in the context of AR technology but also offers recommendations for application developers to enhance security and privacy, thereby improving user experience, and mitigating user fatigue | en_US |
