Abstract: | The Vietnamese labor market is showing signs of recovery and growth in late 2024, with a positive outlook for 2025. In this context, employee performance and employee engagement are crucial for organizational success. This research investigates the factors that influence employee engagement, including employee communication, work-life balance, organizational culture, work environment, and leadership. The study also explores how employee engagement mediates the relationship between these factors and employee performance. Utilizing convenience sampling, we collected data from 328 Vietnamese employees in Ho Chi Minh City, including full-time, part-time, and interns. Our findings demonstrate a significant impact of employee engagement on employee performance. Moreover, our analysis supports a positive relationship between individual and organizational factors and employee engagement. Based on these results, we propose actionable insights and solutions for businesses to enhance employee performance outcomes |
