Abstract: | The "buy now pay later" shopping model is becoming a new and attractive consumer trend in the age of developing digital technology. Thanks to this flexible payment mechanism, consumers can easily own the products they desire without having to pay the full amount at once with interest-free payments. This study will further analyze research on factors affecting consumer behavior when choosing this form of payment in shopping transactions. The application of BNPL has significantly reduced the feeling of anxiety when paying, making consumers tend to purchase intent, especially in spending on discounted products and increasing total spending. This has been proven, BNPL has succeeded in reducing financial burden when shopping. Thereby, we can better understand the mechanism of payment methods, especially BNPL, how they affect consumer decision-making and at the same time forecast development trends that will guide the development of the BNPL industry in the future. The first chapter will provide an overview of the research literature, clearly outline the characteristics of the research topic and recreate the formation and development process of BNPL services. Chapter two will dig deeper into summarizing the literature and thereby building research hypotheses. Next is a detailed illustration of the research method, which focuses on the manual data collection process and data analysis techniques will be presented in the next chapter. The fourth part of the article focuses on in-depth analysis of the collected data and interpretation of important findings. Finally, the conclusion summarizes the study, thoroughly highlighting the data, points out the limitations of this paper and recommendations for future research |
