A study on the factors affecting the graduate employment opportunity of UEH students

Abstract

In today's rapidly evolving job market, fresh graduates from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) face a unique set of challenges. This study explores the factors influencing their employment opportunities. By identifying these key determinants, the research aims to provide valuable insights for UEH students, the university itself, and potential employers. Understanding these factors empowers stakeholders to develop targeted strategies to enhance graduate employability in the competitive job market of today. The topic is based on the theoretical bases given by the authors with key influencing factors such as Soft Skills, Professional Qualification, Experience, Relationship Network, and Employer Needs. With the data obtained from a sample of 131 students from courses 46 of UEH University, the research results showed that Soft Skills, Professional Qualification, Experience, Relationship Network, Employer Needs are correlated with Employment Opportunity. Based on that result, our research team has proposed some measures to enhance the employability of UEH graduates
