Factors that influence Ho Chi Minh city's university students' intention to use domestic electric motorbikes

Abstract

Internal combustion engines, along with fuels such as gas, diesel, etc., are one of the major causes of air pollution in Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, sustainable economic development and expansion of domestic goods are also issues of concern. With this mindset, the group chose this topic: “Factors that influence Ho Chi Minh city's university students' intention to use domestic electric motorbikes”. The goal of this study is to analyze the elements that affect the intention of using domestic electric motorbikes. A structural model has been estimated using data collected from 249 university students in HCM city. This research is conducted based on the Theory of planned behavior (TPB), and the Diffusion of Innovation Theory (DOI). Based on these findings, information is provided for manufacturers to optimize their plans and enhance university students’ acceptance of domestic electric motorbikes
